The Holosun HS507C X2 is a modern and compact closed micro sight for use on handguns and long guns. Due to its reticle and compact dimensions, it excels on pistols and shotguns, but also performs well as a backup on self-loading rifles. The widely used Trijicon RMR footprint is utilized, allowing this sight to be mounted on many handguns and long gun mounts - the Glock MOS models, for example, come with a matching adapter plate.

As expected from Holosun, the sight features a solar cell that powers the emitter - even when the battery is dead. The "Shake Awake" function is also included, meaning automatic on and off of the dot through motion sensors.

This variant features a fixed 32 MOA target circle (approximately 23.2cm/100m) with a 2 MOA dot (approximately 1.45cm/25m). Brightness can be manually adjusted in 12 levels - of which 2 are night vision compatible - but the sight can also be set to an automatic mode thanks to the light sensor. With the CR1632 battery, the sight achieves a brightness duration of up to 50,000 hours - depending on the setting. And if the battery does run out, the solar cell powers the sight.

Holosun was founded in 2013 in California but is a subsidiary of a Chinese conglomerate. Since the parent company specializes in electro-optical components, the manufacturer offers high-quality optics at a good price-performance ratio. A "trademark" of the company is the solar cell, which is found on almost all optics and allows the use of the sight even with a dead battery. The manufacturer was also one of the first to implement motion-activated activation in affordable optics. After modest beginnings, the company has firmly established itself in the civilian market within a few years and offers an extremely extensive range of red dot sights. Thermal optics, including special models for handguns, are now also part of the portfolio, and the first authorities and militaries are relying on optics from Holosun.
