The smallest offspring of the Citadel series from the Texas optics manufacturer Sightmark impresses with its 10x zoom and an unmatched field of view in this price range.
With a field of view of 36.76 m (1x) - 3.6 m (10x) at 100 m, the scope can compete with significantly more expensive scopes or even optics with lower zoom despite its impressive zoom. The generous eye relief of 9.4-7.9 cm allows for mounting on a variety of firearms and magnum rifles - the scope is recoil-resistant up to .50 BMG. Weighing 497 g, with a length of 28.6 cm and an ocular diameter of 40 mm, it is also relatively compact and does not burden the weapon or the mount - especially in conjunction with a night vision or thermal imaging device.
The 1 to 10 power scope with a 30 mm main tube is available in 2 etched reticles:
The CR1 reticle is a tactical reticle for dynamic shooting, which also performs well in driven hunts due to its hold points. This reticle features a 1 MoA (approx. 2.9 cm/100 m) aiming point within an open target circle at the bottom, commonly referred to as a "horseshoe," with a diameter of 9.65 MoA (approx. 28 cm/100 m). The lateral holdover marks are spaced 10 MoA (approx. 29 cm/100 m) from the center and are 10 MoA wide with a 5 MoA (approx. 14.5 cm/100 m) subdivision. The holdover marks for bullet drop are set for .223 Rem with 55 gr FMJ ammunition but are also suitable for .308 Win 144 gr FMJ and can, of course, be used with other loadings. They are designed for 600 yards (approx. 548 m). In this reticle, the aiming point, target circle, and holdover marks for bullet drop are illuminated (see product image).
The HDR reticle corresponds to the well-known 4A reticle with an illuminated point. The aiming point has a diameter of 0.8 MoA (approx. 2.3 cm/100 m) and is suitable for the shooting range or the hunter who prefers a clean reticle without frills. In this reticle, only the aiming point is illuminated.
Both reticles can be illuminated in red at 11 levels, providing a wide range of applications from night vision devices to bright summer days at the range.
Adjustment is made horizontally and vertically in 1/2 MoA (approx. 1.4 cm/100 m) with an adjustment range of 100 MoA (approx. 290 cm/100 m) each. The scope is, of course, nitrogen-filled, dustproof, and waterproof according to IP67, and features coated lenses.
