The new Magpul DAKA Hard Case not only offers robust protection for your firearm and optics against impacts, wind, and weather, but also features the modular DAKA GRID system, allowing the case to be quickly and securely adjusted to the firearm being transported. The DAKA Hard Case R44 has interior dimensions of 112.4x43.2x14cm (44.25x17x5.5").

The shell is made from closed-cell expanded polypropylene (EPP), a material that provides excellent strength while being lightweight. The shell is also resistant to oils and solvents, as well as UV radiation. Naturally, the case is protected against rain and splashes thanks to its hard shell and a surrounding seal.

The streamlined design minimizes protruding edges. The hinges, handle, and latches also blend into the streamlined overall appearance, ensuring that the case does not get caught when loading and unloading. The corners and next to the latches are double-walled to prevent impacts from being transferred to the interior. With feet on the bottom and a recessed lid, the case can be stacked securely, and cutouts on the lid edge provide support for securing straps during transport.

The large latches can be opened and closed with one hand and are secured with a push button – both latches feature a stable recessed eyelet that accommodates large locks without protruding over the case and getting caught. Additionally, the locks can be secured to the case with cable ties or Velcro straps (4 pieces included).

The two ergonomically shaped handles remain securely in position when opened and closed – a third fixed handle is located between the wheels for easier and safer handling of the case. The wheels allow for easier maneuvering and storage of the case – they are ball-bearing and rubber-coated for low-resistance and smooth rolling behavior.

The centerpiece – structurally and conceptually – of the DAKA Hard Case is the namesake DAKA GRID system. This modular insert is also made from EPP, meaning it does not absorb dirt, oil, or solvents – it does not get dirty and does not age like traditional foam. Several "hole plates" (Organizer Panels) provide support for the Daka blocks, which can be arranged in any order and thus adjusted modularly and individually to everything. If particularly wide firearms need to be transported, for example due to bipods or folding stocks, the panels can also be easily removed or trimmed.
