The Aimpoint CompM5 is a compact sight from the proven military Comp family. These models are designed for utmost robustness and reliability and have been the standard optics for various armies for years, most notably the US Army. The M5 features state-of-the-art technology and lens coatings, making it ideally suited for use with magnification modules up to 6x. The CompM5 also uses the Aimpoint Micro footprint, but unlike the Micro models, it uses a classic AAA battery that powers the LED for up to 50,000 hours. The differing footprint from the predecessor models results from the fact that this model was developed as a compact variant to take up as little space as possible on the weapon while still offering the resilience of the Comp models in micro dimensions.
