The Weatherby Vanguard WEATHERGUARD features a Monte Carlo style polymer stock and a Cerakote finish. The 20-inch barrel offers excellent shooting behavior despite its small diameter, but is clearly designed for hunting use. The Weatherby Vanguard models have been manufactured by Howa in Japan since 1970 and are based on the well-known Howa 1500, with final assembly taking place at Weatherby in Wyoming. All Vanguards come with a 3-position safety and an adjustable two-stage trigger.

The Vanguard Weatherguard offers a classic bluing on the barrel and action, bolt, and chamber sleeve, while the polymer stock is equipped with contrasting inlays on the grip and forend to enhance grip and features a Monte Carlo cheek piece and an enlarged pistol grip. A versatile weapon for everyday hunting.

Due to its wide distribution and long production history, the accessory market is also well-equipped. The three-position safety with chamber lock provides a new shooter with the safety and reliability they need. The trigger is well-suited for hunting purposes and can be adjusted by the shooter - this is not recommended for beginners. The Howa barrels "eat anything"; they are not very sensitive to ammunition and work with many loadings - especially as a young hunter, it is important to trust your barrel and that it is not a diva requiring a special diet. We recommend the caliber .308 Winchester for young hunters - an all-rounder with a huge selection of ammunition.
