The Hornady Impact Bullet Puller is a de-capping hammer for most cartridges up to caliber .45. Usable for both handgun and rifle cartridges, the hammer is delivered with various cartridge holders. Powder and bullet are caught and can be safely disposed of afterwards. Reusing the powder is NOT recommended!

Made from impact-resistant polymer, the hammer is transparent in classic Hornady red. The handle is rubberized to prevent slipping and to allow for fatigue-free work even during prolonged use.

Please note: A de-capping hammer utilizes the inertia of the bullet. The lighter the bullet, the less force it takes to pull it from the case. Especially for self-loading cartridges with crimped case mouths, de-capping may be difficult (e.g., 223 Remington) - this is NOT a defect of the hammer!
