The S&W Mod. 10 long held the reputation as the workhorse among revolvers. Whether in worldwide military use, police service, or in the hands of hunters and sport shooters – this model has earned a legendary reputation as a precise and absolutely reliable companion. Thanks to its robust K-frame and thoughtful design, firearms of this type are known for their extreme durability and ruggedness.

Historically, the Model 10, whose roots trace back to the 1899 "Hand Ejector" and the famous "Military & Police" (M&P), is one of the most produced revolvers of the 20th century. The variant 10-5 presented here was manufactured from the 1960s and is characterized, among other things, by the flatter, modernized sight line. This example bears the serial number D356764 and was officially proofed in Munich in 1986.

Thanks to the versatile and inherently precise caliber, the firearm is suitable both for sport shooting and hunting use (e.g., for the finishing shot) or as a fine collector’s piece. The revolver is equipped with ergonomically shaped wooden grip panels, features fixed rear sight and a distinctive front sight with a high-contrast orange inlay for quick target acquisition, as well as a classic single-/double-action trigger system.
