Kriss USA is a subsidiary of the Swiss KRISS Group. The company was founded in 2002 as Transformational Defense Industries but was renamed to KRISS around the time of the start of production of the KRISS Vector - the name comes from a dagger originating from Java. The company manufactures the KRISS Vector submachine gun in various variants, calibers, and the currently third generation, and in the USA, the Swiss pistols formerly known as Sphinx formerly Phoenix are now distributed again as Sphinx.
