The SigSauer Romeo5XDR GEN II is the revised version of the Romeo5. Designed as an affordable rifle optic, it still offers the shooter a range of modern features. Made from a single piece of aluminum including the battery housing and mount, the sight is compact and robust. The emitter features "MOTAC" motion-activated illumination, meaning it turns off when the weapon is stationary and activates as soon as the weapon is moved. The sight is waterproof according to IPX7. The controls are arranged on the housing for easy ambidextrous operation.

There are 2 reticles available, a 2 MOA dot and a 65 MOA circle with a 2 MOA dot, with a battery life of approximately 50,000 hours using a AAA battery - this is mounted below the optic, making the sight very slim and not obstructing the shooter's field of view in dynamic shooting situations. The fixed height is designed for co-witnessing with the standard AR15 sight height, and the integrated Picatinny mount allows for quick and secure attachment to a variety of weapon platforms.
