The Leupold VX-5HD 1-5x24 Metric Illuminated FireDot riflescope is a high-performance scope for short distances in the mid-price segment. The 5x zoom is available with high-quality HD optics and a FireDot fiber optic reticle, providing outstanding visibility for both driven hunts and sporting disciplines. FireDot means at Leupold that the highest setting is about 10% brighter, and the lowest is 10% darker than the standard illumination intensity, thus covering the extreme ranges of important lighting situations.

The VX5-HD series offers one of the best optical systems on the market and is ideal for poor lighting conditions. Especially in extremely bright or direct light, the optics provide the best possible glare reduction. The reticle in the 2nd focal plane remains the same size regardless of the zoom level.

Exclusively for the German market, this riflescope is equipped with a metric click system, meaning in MRAD. One click on the adjustment knob corresponds to 0.1 MRAD, or 1 cm at 100 m - perfect for zeroing or when the shooting distance changes.
