A bolt-action rifle of the type System Mauser 98, manufactured by the legendary Waffenfabrik Steyr in Austria for the Chilean military (Modelo 1912). Rifles from this pre-war production are known worldwide for their unmatched, proverbial manufacturing quality.
What makes this specimen a true standout on the market:

Extremely early, two-digit serial number (B23): The weapons were produced in blocks of 10,000 pieces. This rifle comes from the coveted B-block and was the 23rd rifle off the production line. Such extremely low, two-digit numbers are hardly found today in original condition.
Full number matching: The rifle is in untouched original condition. The historical serial number B23 is identically stamped on all essential components – including the receiver, bolt (chamber handle), and the wooden stock.
Double coat of arms preservation:

The Chilean national coat of arms on the cartridge head is deep, sharply engraved, and preserved without rust marks.
On the wooden stock, there is also the original, clearly visible Chilean military branding (stock emblem). This proves that it is the original delivery stock.
