Regular cleaning by swishing in water extends the lifespan. FAQ Does the bottle fit in running vests? Yes, the 0.5L format is compatible with most front pockets of Salomon, Ultimate Direction, etc. (provided they are designed for 42mm openings or have space). Can I screw the top onto a larger bottle? Yes, the filter head is identical to the 1.0L and 3.0L versions. How quickly does the filter clog? It depends on the turbidity of the water. In clear mountain streams, it lasts a long time; in muddy puddles, it should be rinsed often. Is it BPA-free? Yes, all materials used are food-safe and BPA-free. Can I put drink powder in the bottle? No, that would clog the filter immediately. Add drink powder only AFTER filtering in a separate container.
