Katadyn BeFree Filter AC 1.0L Slate Blue

Katadyn BeFree Filter AC 1.0L (Slate Blue) – Ultralight Drinking System with Taste Correction
The Katadyn BeFree AC 1.0L in Slate Blue is the ideal water treatment solution for hikers and campers who want to drink safely and deliciously on the go. Equipped with the new AC technology (Activated Carbon), this system not only filters bacteria and suspended particles but also neutralizes musty tastes and odors from stagnant water thanks to activated carbon. With a volume of 1.0 liters, it offers enough capacity for longer distances without being heavy.
The soft flask can be folded down extremely small when empty. The 42mm wide-mouth thread allows for quick filling at any stream. Thanks to the semi-transparent blue color, you always have the fill level in sight.
Application Area & Origin
Perfect mobile outdoor water filter for day hikes, backpacking, and sporty outdoor activities. The 1-liter size is the best compromise between pack size and water supply.

FAQ
Can I buy the activated carbon separately?
Yes, the activated carbon is a consumable and available separately as an accessory.
Does the filter fit on PET bottles?
No, the thread is 42mm (Hydrapak standard), not 28mm (PET).
Is the bottle dishwasher safe?
The bottle is yes (without filter!), but we recommend hand washing for a longer lifespan of the material.
How heavy is the filter when wet?
The weight only increases minimally due to the residual water in the hollow fiber (approx. 20-30g).
Is it leak-proof?
Yes, the drinking cap seals reliably, allowing filled bottles to be transported.
