Forest side-lock double shotgun. Classic from the era of great small game hunting. Elegant slim shotgun under the name Forest manufactured for Frankonia in Spain. Early version from the 1970s in caliber 16/70. Steel action with real side locks. The side locks are dark stained with line engraving of ducks on the left, a duck and hunting dog on the right, arabesques, and flowers. The action, iron buttstock, and triggers are matte chrome-plated with arabesques and rosettes. Barrel bundle and operating parts are black blued. Side locks with cocking indicators left/right. 71 cm barrels with small brass bead, tapered barrel rib, screwed barrel sling swivel, and extractor. Steel action with side locks, double barrel hook locking, Purdey lock, double trigger, and automatic safety. Dark lacquered walnut stock with German cheek piece, sling swivel, monogram plate PE, and 2 cm ventilated rubber butt pad with 3 black spacers (total 2.2 cm) in front for extension. Extended pistol grip for easier overhead shooting with black grip caps featuring vine and flower embossing, pistol grip and forend with fine checkering. The weapon shows light signs of use appropriate to its age: screw heads on the locks are slightly uneven due to the screwdriver, bluing on the barrel in the forend area is slightly matte. Stock with scratches, otherwise in very good condition. Lock tight and firm, barrels bright. Original markings/stamps. Right barrel = Forest - side lock - E. Caliber: 16/70. Valid proof: Eibar Spain.
