Barrel profile mirror bright with two minor scratches, otherwise the grooves and lands are sharp-edged. Santa Barbara was one of the best manufacturers of high-quality muzzle-loading revolvers. The Remington Santa Barbara from this era is still highly regarded by collectors and shooters as a precise sport revolver for black powder disciplines. Tight fittings, fine lock action, smooth trigger. Sight line approx. 24 cm front sight fixed mounted, rear sight continuously milled into the frame bridge. Closed frame. Original markings/stamps. Barrel left: Cal. 44, barrel top: NEW MODEL ARMY. Barrel bottom: MADE BY E.N.SANTA BARBARA, coat of arms SPAIN * 5-digit weapon number. Bluing slightly bright on the loading lever, brass tarnished, otherwise well-maintained very good condition. Valid Spanish proof.
