The DAR-10 Hunter with DIGIPRINT coating is a compact semi-automatic rifle in caliber .308 Winchester, specifically designed for hunting and sporting use. It features a 12-inch long barrel with a 1:10-inch twist and a twist profile with six right-hand grooves, achieving precise stabilization of various projectile types. The Heavy-Barrel-Light barrel contour ensures high rigidity while maintaining a moderate weight. The Direct-Impigement gas system in Carbine-Length configuration guarantees reliable and smooth shooting behavior. This is complemented by the DAR Low Profile Gas Block Gen2, which is adjustable from the front in 16 clicks, allowing for individual gas adjustment. The muzzle is designed as a precise 11° Varmint muzzle and features an M15x1 muzzle thread. The barrel has been nitride treated with Tenifer QPQ and additionally hand-lapped, improving both corrosion resistance and precision. A DAR muzzle protector serves as the muzzle attachment.
The 11-inch long DAR M-Lok forend offers a slim design as well as versatile options for mounting accessories. The upper and lower receiver are made from the proven DAR-Advanced platform, which stands for stability and precise manufacturing. The ambidextrous and gas-deflecting DAR charging handle facilitates handling even under demanding conditions. The DAR Low-Mass bolt carrier group ensures particularly fast cycling behavior.
The rifle is also equipped with a high-quality trigger that provides a clean and controlled trigger characteristic. The ambidextrous DAR safety can be operated in either the 90° or 45° mode. With the DAR Ambi Magazine Catch, magazine release is also possible with either hand. The ergonomic Magpul MOE K2 grip and the adjustable Magpul CTR stock ensure high handling comfort and a secure shooting position.
Included in the delivery is a Magpul PMAG with a capacity of 10 rounds. The surface of the weapon is hard-anodized black and, in combination with the DIGIPRINT coating, offers a durable and modern appearance. Despite its robust construction, the total weight including the magazine is only about 3,660 grams. The weapon has a very low shot count of under 150 shots. It served briefly as a demonstration weapon and is zeroed in on Geco DTX.
