Glock 17 Gen 6 OR 9mm Luger

The Glock 17 Gen6 OR in caliber 9mm Luger represents the latest evolutionary stage of one of the world's most well-known service pistols. It combines the proven reliability of the Glock platform with modern advancements in ergonomics, technology, and modularity. The designation „OR“ („Optics Ready“) indicates that the pistol is already factory-prepared for the mounting of common red dot sights. A modular adapter plate system allows various optics to be quickly and securely attached, which is particularly advantageous in sporting use and for professional users.

The sixth generation brings numerous detail improvements. The grip has been redesigned and does away with fixed finger grooves, allowing the weapon to adapt more flexibly to different hand sizes. The textured surface ensures a secure hold even under demanding conditions. Additionally, a modular grip system (backstraps) allows for individual adjustment to the shooter.

The platform has also been technically optimized. An improved surface coating increases corrosion resistance and reduces wear during intensive use. The precision-manufactured barrel, combined with a revised trigger system, ensures consistent shooting behavior and high accuracy. The characteristic Safe-Action trigger safety remains a central element of the safety concept.

The Glock 17 Gen6 OR features a lightweight, robust polymer grip with integrated steel components, designed for a long service life. The simple construction with comparatively few individual parts significantly facilitates maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep. The magazine offers a high capacity and is designed for reliable feeding.

Controls such as the magazine release are – depending on the version – ambidextrous or reversible, making the pistol suitable for both right- and left-handed users. The standardized accessory interface also allows for the mounting of tactical lights or other accessories.
