The Alpen Optics Apex Steady 16x30 HD binoculars with image stabilization for consistently steady images combines low weight with strong optical performance.The Apex Steady 16x30 HD binoculars from Alpen Optics deliver steady images even at 16x magnification, thanks to its image stabilization, even when low temperatures make it difficult to keep hands steady. The binoculars are equipped with a very good optical system housed in a robust casing. The 16x30 version, with its optimized 30-mm objective, is a model in the Apex Steady series with a low weight of only 580 g, excelling with its magnification, a close focus limit of only 3.50 m, and a field of view of 70 m at 1,000 m.

The Optics
The prism system of the binoculars features BaK-4 glass (Barium Crown Glass). This provides brighter and sharper images than the materials typically used. The HD lenses are coated with UBX multi-coating and PXA phase coating. These coatings ensure high light transmission and provide contrast-rich, detailed, clear images. Thanks to the LPE lens coating (Lotus Pearl Effect), which causes water to bead off, rain does not affect the quality. The roof prism optimally directs light to the eye with its SHR coating (Super High Reflection).

The Apex Steady 16x30 HD employs the latest stabilization technology. The binoculars are equipped with an optical prism compensation with a 2-axis gimbal. Its LE eyepieces and twist-up eyecups make it easily suitable for eyeglass wearers. The raised eye point ensures that even with the eyepieces twisted in, the field of view is not compromised.

The Housing
Optics and electronics are housed in a robust casing with a protective and tactile rubber coating. Operation is intuitive. The binoculars are splash-proof according to IPX 4 and are filled with nitrogen to prevent internal fogging during temperature fluctuations. The stabilizer is powered by two standard AA batteries (included).
