Description

Light, compact, and even more powerful – the update of the Leopard series from Pard. The Leopard EX 640 35 thermal imaging device has excellent thermal detection capabilities and features a laser rangefinder. The lightweight and compact thermal imaging monocular Leopard EX 640-50 with integrated laser rangefinder from Pard offers good value for money. It is designed to be easily operated with one hand. Additionally, the relaunch of the EX series has improved the image algorithm and the NETD value of the sensor, among other things. This device with the 50 mm lens particularly appeals to those who value a stronger optical magnification – here 3.7x.

Compact and ergonomic
The Leopard EX 640-50 stands out due to its compact dimensions and low weight, and its ergonomic design feels very pleasant in the hand, fitting even in the smallest pocket, so it can be taken along on every hunt. The controls are located on the top and are intuitive, allowing for easy adjustment and menu navigation with one hand while observing.

The sensor
The heart of the Leopard EX 640-50 is the proprietary sensor developed by Pard with a high resolution of 640x512 px and a pixel pitch of 12 µm. It detects the smallest thermal differences, with the NETD value in the new EX series being ≤14 mK. Even in wet weather or fog, wildlife can be distinguished from its environment and identified.

The display
The data processed by the also improved image algorithm is displayed on a large 2560x2560 px OLED display in the Leopard EX 640-50. The images are sharp, high-contrast, and detailed, and the software also offers enhanced image improvement features. The display has a picture-in-picture function that allows you to go into detail for wildlife identification without losing sight of the overall view. 6 color modes are available depending on the situation and individual needs. Videos and images taken with the camera can be transferred to a mobile device via WiFi or USB-C. With the Pard-Vision app, you can configure and remotely control your Leopard EX 640-50.

The laser rangefinder
For accurate target acquisition and to place the optimal shot, knowing the exact distance to the wildlife is advantageous – both day and night. Therefore, the Leopard EX 640-50 has an integrated laser rangefinder with a range of 1,000 m. It is placed in the lens without increasing the dimensions of the device and provides the desired data quickly and precisely.
