Wildlife-friendly design of solar parks How can I influence the construction of a facility? Which measures on-site benefit wildlife? And what about the hunting lease? These and other questions are answered in the new DJV brochure. The brochure contains detailed instructions and concrete practical tips. In 2025 alone, the installed capacity in the form of solar parks increased by a quarter compared to the previous year, reports the Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft. This development comes with significant challenges for wildlife – for example, regarding habitat fragmentation. In this brochure, you will find information on participation, planning, practice with tips specifically for hunting associations, and a step-by-step guide to participating in planning procedures and statements for solar parks. Concrete measures for wildlife-compatible design of the facilities are also presented – with a holistic view of wildlife. The focus is on insects, ground and hedge breeders, or mammals such as the brown hare and roe deer. The third part of the brochure deals with hunting law questions – for example, regarding the reduction of the hunting lease.
