Sandstone from the French Pyrenees (grit 1200) for grinding and sharpening knives and tools. To protect against breakage of the sharpening stone (e.g., when accidentally dropped), this sharpening stone is equipped with a stainless steel break protection made of V2A steel.
The French sharpening stone is mined at the foot of the Pyrenees. The natural stone is a mixture of slate and sandstone. The grit is approximately 1200. The stone quickly sharpens knives and tools to an acceptable level. Thus, even small injuries from the edge can be removed. The natural stone only needs to be moistened with water and not submerged. The sharpener with a grit of 1200 is used for sharpening relatively dull and/or damaged knives or tools. An excellent basic sharpness is achieved in a simple manner. Further processing is best done with the fine 6000 grit sharpener.
The handy and compact stone size with handle allows for easy sharpening of the blade. The Pyrenean sandstone is simply used with water.
Delivery includes a handcrafted leather holster.
