The natural stone is a mixture of slate and sandstone. The grit is approximately 1200. The stone quickly sharpens knives and tools to an acceptable level. Thus, even small injuries from the edge can be removed. The natural stone only needs to be moistened with water and should not be submerged. The sharpener with a grit of 1200 is used for sharpening quite dull and/or damaged knives or tools. An excellent basic sharpness is achieved in a simple way. Further processing is best done with the fine 6000 grit sharpener. The handy and compact stone size with handle allows for easy sharpening of the blade.
