Faithful cuddly toy for small handsThe cuddly duck with its green head lies softly in the hand and immediately invites to cuddle. Unfortunately, it has forgotten how to swim and is therefore to be given into good care. The mallard is the largest and most common swimming duck in Europe and the ancestral form of the domestic duck. Adult males in breeding plumage are unmistakable with their green metallic head, yellow beak, and white neck ring. The current designation mallard only became the usual German term in the 20th century; in older literature, it is still referred to as March duck due to its breeding season.
