The use of leather balm restores volume, smoothness, and suppleness to the leather. To prevent the leather from drying out, the shoes should be treated with leather balm 2 to 3 times a year before waxing. Fat or leather balm repels water, but it is not a waterproofing agent for leather shoes. To restore the waterproofness of leather shoes, they should be waxed after using leather balm with high-quality shine shoe wax (Art.Nr. 110403 or Art.Nr. 110402) to achieve a smooth, water-repellent surface.
