Sauer 505 Iconic Silence

The 505 repeater from Sauer with the Iconic hole stock wood class 3 in the Silence version – designed to accommodate an integral suppressor.This model is the Silence version of the Sauer 505 Iconic with the ergonomic hole stock made of walnut wood in stock class 3. The Stock
This Iconic stock from Sauer is a two-part hole stock made of walnut wood in stock class 3, finished with a polished surface. The stock impresses with its thoughtful ergonomics and aesthetics alike. The steep pistol grip with a pronounced palmswell and the optimally sized thumb hole keep the shooting hand and arm in a consistently relaxed state, allowing for intuitive aiming. The straight stock back transitions into a curved, flowing line towards the cheek piece. The forend also has a slightly curved shape, which is accentuated by a drop nose made of black ebony. The checkering pattern on the grip surfaces feels pleasant in the hands. The length of pull is 36.5 cm, capped off with a recoil-absorbing cap in black.

The Steel Housing with DLC Coating
The solid steel housing allows for quiet cycling due to reduced friction losses and a smooth chambering. The surfaces of the housing are coated with a DLC coating. DLC stands for "Diamond Like Carbon." This type of coating is very environmentally friendly and biocompatible compared to galvanic coatings. A thin-film coating process makes the coated components particularly resistant and very smooth.

The Manual Cocking
The manual cocking is both comfortable and safe. The Sauer 505 model has seen advancements over its predecessors in terms of both usability and safety. An extension of the cocking travel requires even less effort. With a light thumb pressure, you can cock the rifle just before the shot, and it can be relaxed just as easily afterward to perform the unloading.

The Trigger
The Sauer 505 repeater features a Quattro trigger with four weight settings, breaking cleanly at the precisely individually suited trigger weight. Settings of 350 g, 750 g, 1,000 g, and 1,250 g are possible. The adjustment is made with the Sauer universal key while the forend is removed.

The Magazine
The polymer magazine is designed for the chosen calibers and holds 2, 3, or 5 cartridges depending on the version. An unintentional release of the magazine button is prevented by the integrated magazine safety MagLock.

The Barrel
The barrel of the Silence version is designed to be used with the Sauer integral suppressor. It is cold-hammered and effectively protected against corrosion through plasma nitriding. Depending on the caliber, it has a length of 42 or 47 cm. It features an M15x1 muzzle thread onto which the integral suppressor is screwed.

The Integral Suppressor
The integral suppressor is made of titanium. This material is lighter than steel and offers better corrosion resistance. Externally, it has a Nitrobond X coating. The weight of the integral suppressor is distributed over the entire barrel length. This does not affect the oscillation behavior and balance of the rifle. It is screwed onto the muzzle thread. Thus, you have no disturbing object at the muzzle that obstructs your field of view or hinders mobility by getting caught. Depending on the caliber used, it has a noise reduction performance of up to 28 dB.
