The Glock 45 model combines a compact slide with a full-size frame. The Glock 45 was, derived from the 19X, the first "civilian" model with a short dust cover and a magazine well of standard length. This makes the weapon more compact than the Glock 17, but easier to grip than the Glock 19. Since the grip of the Glock 17 Gen6 is slightly shorter at the dust cover, both weapons have the same grip. All interchangeable systems with long or compact slides can be mounted. This gives the shooter more combination options with a base weapon.
