The Weatherby Vanguard OBSIDIAN features a Monte Carlo style polymer stock and a blued barrel & action. The 20-inch bull barrel provides excellent vibration and shooting behavior and can be used for both hunting and sport. The Weatherby Vanguard models have been manufactured by Howa in Japan since 1970 and are based on the well-known Howa 1500, with final assembly taking place at Weatherby in Wyoming. All Vanguards come with a 3-position safety and an adjustable two-stage trigger.
