Sauer 505 Synchro XT Black Heavy Weight Elegance

The Sauer 505 Synchro XT Black bolt-action rifle with heavy contour barrel features a chamber with sun polish in the Elegance configuration.In the Elegance configuration of the 505 Synchro XT Black with a heavy contour barrel, Sauer has focused on the premium features. Among other things, the barrel and housing are protected from corrosion with a DLC coating, the surface of the chamber has received a sun polish, and the chamber grip ball is knurled and adorned with the Sauer logo.

The Stock
The stock of this version of the Sauer 505 bolt-action rifle is the polymer hole stock Synchro XT Black. Its ergonomic design, which brings elegance and dynamics into a symbiosis, immediately catches the eye. You can adjust the stock to your personal physical needs when aiming and shooting using the height-adjustable stock comb. The thumb hole is optimally placed, keeping the shooting hand relaxed at all times. The stock length is 36.5 mm. Polymer is a lightweight and extremely durable plastic, just right for an all-weather rifle.

The Steel Housing with DLC Coating
The solid steel housing allows for quieter cycling due to reduced friction losses and a smooth chamber operation. The surfaces of the housing are coated with a DLC coating. DLC stands for "Diamond Like Carbon." This type of coating is very environmentally friendly and biocompatible compared to galvanic coatings. The coated components are particularly resistant and very smooth due to a thin-film coating process.

The Chamber with Sun Polish
A special optical highlight of the Elegance version of the 505 Synchro XT Black Heavy Weight is the sun polish with which the chamber has been refined. In this process, the surface is worked with a grinding wheel in such a way that a sunbeam-like iridescence radiates from the center. When the treated surface is moved, the angle of incidence of the light changes, and the polished area appears to rotate in a circle. The chamber grip ball is knurled and adorned with the Sauer logo in the Elegance version.

The Manual Cocking
The manual cocking is both comfortable and safe. In the Sauer 505 model, it has undergone further development compared to previous models, both in terms of usability and safety. An extension of the cocking path requires even less effort. With a light thumb pressure, you can cock your rifle just before the shot, and just as easily relax it afterwards to perform the unloading.

The Trigger
The Sauer 505 bolt-action rifle features a Quattro trigger with four weight settings. This allows the trigger to break crystal clear, and you have exactly the individually suitable trigger weight. Settings of 350 g, 750 g, 1,000 g, and 1,250 g are possible. The adjustment is made with the Sauer universal key when the fore-end is uncocked. The trigger guard is made of aluminum in this version.

The Magazine
The polymer magazine is designed for the chosen calibers and holds 2, 3, or 5 cartridges depending on the version. An unintentional release of the magazine button is prevented by the integrated magazine safety MagLock. In the Elegance configuration, it has a lightweight metal base.

The Barrel
The approximately 300 g heavier heavy contour barrel makes the Sauer 505 ErgoLux Outback rifle front-heavy and ensures better oscillation behavior. Additionally, the inherent precision of the barrel increases, and the recoil is reduced. The cold-hammered barrel without sights is equipped with an M17x1 thread for a suppressor. Its length varies between 47 cm and 62 cm depending on the caliber and personal choice. The barrel of the Sauer 505 Outback is effectively protected against corrosion by a DLC coating, just like its other steel surfaces.
