The model 457 Varmint Synthetic is equipped with an ergonomic polymer stock without a cheek piece. For pleasant handling, the weather-resistant stock features a grippy soft-touch coating. The thick-walled, cold-hammered match-grade barrel with muzzle thread stands for enormous precision.
Precision
The high precision of the CZ 457 series rimfire rifles is due to the use of cold-forged barrels from in-house production, the smooth function of the trigger mechanism with adjustable trigger weight and travel, a lighter firing pin, and last but not least, the advanced ergonomics of the stock.
Constant system bedding in the stock
The innovative bedding of the CZ 457 series largely eliminates the effects of wood expansion on zeroed firearms and the precision during temperature fluctuations.
Lighter firing pin
The low weight of the firing pin in the CZ 457 series rifles leads to a quick reset after the trigger is pulled and prevents even the smallest vibrations that could affect shooting accuracy. The firing pin has also been modified to last longer during dry fire training.
Trigger mechanism
The trigger of the CZ 457 is factory-set to a safe value of 11.1 to 14 N but can easily be adjusted by the shooter to 8 to 15 N. The trigger travel is adjustable from 0.5 to 5 mm.
Safety
The silent manual safety with a push button on the right side of the housing allows for natural and intuitive operation in the shooting direction.
Convenient and quick bolt operation
With only a 60° opening angle, reloading is comfortable, smooth, and quick. The limited rotation of the bolt handle combined with the slim design ensures trouble-free operation of the firearm with a mounted scope.
Firing pin status indicator
The red indicator protruding from the firing pin nut reliably shows whether the firing pin is cocked and can be checked both visually and by touch, which is advantageous when shooting in low light or at night.
Durability
The cold-forged barrel of the CZ 457 series ensures high precision and is extremely durable.
Nitrided bolt and barrel
The housing and barrel of all models in the CZ 457 series are coated with an in-house finish that provides extreme resistance to mechanical damage, weather influences, and sweat.
