Classification & sporting practice: The CZ Shadow 2 was developed in close collaboration with the CZ IPSC elite team and has been one of the most tested and successful sport pistols worldwide since its market launch. In independent expert tests, it is regularly praised for its exceptionally stable shooting behavior, silky smooth trigger, and excellent control during rapid fire sequences. In national and international IPSC competitions, the Shadow 2 has been a dominant platform for years – especially in the Production class. With its increased weight of around 1,330 g, the more front-heavy center of gravity, and the deeply contoured grip geometry, the Shadow 2 noticeably reduces muzzle rise and allows for very fast, controlled follow-up shots. This construction shows its advantages particularly in long stages and high shot counts. Construction & ergonomics: The frame shape under the extended beavertail allows for a particularly low hand position, further improving recoil control. The fine checkering in the front area and the grippy duralumin grips ensure a constant hold – even during rapid series or under changing conditions. The newly tuned DA/SA trigger impresses with a clean break point, quick take-up, and a significantly shortened reset.
