Viking Sax with Horn Grip and Leather Sheath an early medieval sax, as they were popular among various Germanic tribes. These saxes were not used exclusively as weapons, but also served, or even predominantly served, as cutting, chopping, and carving knives.
The guard consists of two steel discs that secure the decorated horn plate with two rivets. The grip is made of horn and the pommel is made of steel.
