Sauer 505 ErgoLux Silence

The Stock
Many hunters swear by the natural material wood for tactile reasons. The sophisticated shape of the Ergo Lux wooden stock significantly compensates for perceived recoil and gives the rifle great stability, regardless of the shooting position you adopt. The cheek piece has been further optimized compared to previous versions, making your contact with the rifle even more organic. In combination with the ergonomic pistol grip, you will feel one with your Sauer 505 ErgoLux Silence when you shoot. The stock length is 36.5 cm.

The Steel Housing with DLC Coating
The system of the Sauer 505 rifle consists of a solid steel housing and a one-piece bolt – available for mini, standard, or magnum calibers – which is also made of steel and crafted from a single piece. Steel has a significant advantage over aluminum in that it has much lower friction losses. Therefore, with the Sauer 505 system, you experience a super smooth chambering and quiet cycling. The surfaces of the housing are coated with a DLC coating. DLC stands for "Diamond like carbon." This type of coating is very environmentally friendly and biocompatible compared to galvanic coatings. Through a thin-film coating process, the coated components become particularly resistant and very smooth.

The Manual Safety
The manual safety is both comfortable and secure. The Sauer 505 model has undergone further development compared to its predecessors, both in terms of usability and safety. By extending the cocking path, even less effort is required. With a light thumb pressure, you can cock your rifle just before the shot, and just as easily relax it afterward to unload.

The Trigger
The Sauer 505 rifle features a Quattro trigger with four weight settings. This allows the trigger to break crystal clear, giving you the precisely suitable trigger weight. Settings of 350 g, 750 g, 1,000 g, and 1,250 g are possible. The adjustment is made with the Sauer universal key while the fore-end is uncocked. A precisely adjusted trigger prevents jerking during the shot and missing the target.

The Magazine
The polymer magazine is designed for the chosen calibers and holds 2 or 3 cartridges. An unintentional release of the magazine button is prevented by the integrated magazine safety MagLock.

The Barrel
The barrel of the Silence version is designed to be used with the Sauer integral suppressor. It has a hardened outer jacket of 0.1 mm thickness and a soft steel core inside. This allows it to vibrate optimally and enables precise shots. Depending on the caliber, it has a length of 42 or 47 cm. It features an M15x1 muzzle thread onto which the integral suppressor is screwed.

The Integral Suppressor
The integral suppressor is made of titanium. This material is lighter than steel and offers better corrosion resistance. On the outside, it has a Nitrobond X coating. The weight of the integral suppressor is distributed over the entire barrel length. This ensures that the oscillation behavior and balance of the rifle are not affected. It is screwed onto the muzzle thread, so you have no disturbing object at the muzzle that obstructs your field of view or hinders your mobility by getting caught. Depending on the caliber used, the
caliber has a damping performance of up to 28 dB and a length of 42 or 47 cm.
