It is nitrogen-filled and therefore fog-proof, as well as shock-resistant and waterproof.

The Optics
The field of view of the Hawke Vantage 30 WA SF IR 3-9x42 is 14.1-4.4 m at 100 m, providing a consistently good overview. The eye relief is 90 mm, which is advantageous when using large calibers with strong recoil. The lenses of the 42 mm objective are treated with an 11-layer fully multi-coated finish. The Hawke H2 optics system is extremely light-transmissive and parallax-free up to 91 m.

The L4A Dot Reticle (2.5 MOA)
The illuminated reticle of the Vantage IR 4-12x50 is adjustable in 5 red and 5 green brightness levels. It is located in the second focal plane. The reticle is etched in glass and extremely robust. The illuminated dot is freely positioned between the bars and has a size of 2.5 MOA. At 4x magnification, the distance between the bars corresponds to 83 cm at 100 m.

The Housing
The housing is made of robust aluminum, it is waterproof and filled with nitrogen to prevent internal fogging. The riflescope is shockproof with all calibers. The zoom ring has an optimal high rotational resistance, which facilitates precise adjustment. The turrets are flat and have protective caps.
