The Winchester SX4 Composite in the extremely powerful caliber 12/89 (3.5") is the ultimate semi-automatic shotgun for shooters seeking reliability under the toughest conditions. As the successor to the legendary SX3, the SX4 has been consistently optimized for speed, ergonomics, and durability. Whether in demanding waterfowl hunting or at the shooting range – the SX4 impresses with its straightforward handling and the globally appreciated Active Valve System.

This model in the composite version is equipped with a robust, matte black synthetic stock that is resistant to weather influences, dirt, and mechanical stress. Combined with the 660 mm barrel length, the SX4 offers excellent balance and quick swing guidance, making it an ideal companion, especially in dynamic hunting situations.
Active Valve System and Adjustable Capacity

The heart of the SX4 is the Active Valve gas system. It automatically regulates gas pressure and allows for the trouble-free firing of an extremely wide range of loads – from light sport cartridges to heavy 12/89 Super Magnum loads. Excess gas is directed forward, significantly reducing felt recoil and minimizing the strain on the mechanics.

A special feature of this version is the "Adjustable Capacity." The magazine tube is designed so that the capacity can be flexibly adjusted to meet legal requirements or personal needs. This makes the SX4 well-equipped for both hunting and sporting applications.
Perfected ergonomics and Inflex technology

The SX4 was developed with a focus on intuitive operation. The pistol grip and forend are narrower than in the predecessor model, improving maneuverability. The oversized controls, such as the enlarged loading lever and the large bolt release button, allow for safe handling – even with thick gloves in cold weather.

The latest generation Inflex recoil pad directs recoil energy downward, keeping the contact between the gun and cheek stable and allowing the shooter to be ready for a follow-up shot more quickly. Thanks to included spacers, the stock can also be individually adjusted in length.
Back-Bored technology and sights

The barrel of the SX4 utilizes Back-Bored technology. By slightly increasing the internal diameter, friction of the shot wad against the barrel wall is reduced. This leads to higher muzzle velocity and a more uniform shot pattern. The Truglo fiber optic sight provides a bright aiming point and enables quick target acquisition even in low light.

The shotgun comes with three Invector-Plus interchangeable chokes (1/4, 1/2, 3/4), allowing it to be flexibly adjusted for different distances and types of ammunition.
Reliability and maintenance

The SX4 is known for its legendary "out-of-the-box" reliability. The system is designed for minimal maintenance and can be disassembled into its main groups for cleaning without tools. The matte bluing of the barrel and the anodized receiver provide excellent protection against corrosion.
