Barrel profile mirror-polished, grooves and lands sharp-edged. Classic 98er hunting rifle with bright Kahles 8x56 scope with reticle 4 for late sitting in moonlight. The swivel mount allows for the relatively inexpensive addition of a red dot sight or small scope for driven hunts. The caliber 6.5x57 with its flat trajectory for precise, long shots in expansive field areas and in the mountains is particularly recommended for roe deer and chamois but is also approved for all other game. A new pear-shaped barrel was installed in the high-quality original 98 system during manufacturing in 1983. All metal parts were blued. The extractor polished bright. The EAW swivel mount allows for the relatively inexpensive addition of a red dot sight or scope for driven hunts. Bluing with light signs of use, on the barrel at the height of the sling swivel the bluing was touched up with a touch-up pen Ø approx. 1 cm and small touch-ups on the scope.
