The PPU is a lead-free cartridge for hunting use. Manufactured like the well-known and proven Grom, the projectile uses only a tin tip instead of a lead tip. The construction offers a high residual weight and little fragmentation, as the projectile is almost entirely made of brass and only the hollow point is sealed with the tin plug to ensure reliable feeding and safe expansion. The special feature of this cartridge from PPU is that it has a relatively high projectile weight for a lead-free ammunition . Depending on the caliber, use is reasonable up to about 150m, so that the projectile can still perform effectively. The Z-Grom is a solid lead-free cartridge with an excellent price-performance ratio and offers low game meat damage and short escape distances.
