The new manual safety operates completely silently and is even easier to use - almost no force is required in the finger. The revised trigger system is length and side adjustable. With a trigger weight of only 600 g and a wider trigger blade, the titanium-nitrided fine trigger of the Merkel K5 can be easily operated with any finger and hand shape. Pistol grip, fore-end, and patent catch are elegantly finished with ebony. The buttstock of wood class 4 features removable sling mounts and a Bavarian cheek piece with double fold. The fluted barrel with a diameter of 17 mm has a removable universal sighting system i-Sight with covered M15x1 muzzle thread. With a single internal hex screw, the rear sight and front sight can be disassembled, and the front sight can also be repositioned depending on whether shooting is to be done with a silencer, without sights, or with a muzzle brake. The sling mounts are equipped with the new Merkel Speedster system and are therefore also removable.
