For its second birthday, there is now a new module in the world of the 505: the Iconic hole stock made of walnut. This new stock is also available in the pre-configured Outback package. The Australian wilderness gave it its name, and accordingly, the equipment of this version of the Sauer 505 repeater rifle is designed for use under the toughest conditions. We complete this package with a high-quality optic of your choice.

Here are the components of the offer:

The Stock
The new Iconic stock from Sauer is a two-part hole stock made of walnut, available in wood class 3 or 5, finished with a polished surface. The stock impresses with its thoughtful ergonomics and aesthetics alike. The steep pistol grip with a pronounced palm swell and the optimally sized thumb hole keep the shooting hand and arm in a constantly relaxed state, allowing for intuitive positioning. The straight stock back transitions into the cheek piece in a curved, flowing line. The forend also has a slightly curved shape, which is accentuated by a drop nose made of black ebony. The checkering pattern on the grip surfaces feels pleasantly tactile in the hands. The length of pull is 365 mm, capped with a recoil-absorbing cap in black.

The System
The solid steel housing of the 505 allows for a smooth chambering and quiet cycling due to reduced friction. The surfaces of the housing are coated with a DLC coating. DLC stands for "Diamond Like Carbon." This type of coating is very environmentally friendly and biocompatible compared to galvanic coatings. Through a thin-film coating process, the coated components are particularly resistant and very smooth. The hand tensioning of the 505 is comfortable and safe. A longer tensioning path requires even less effort. With a light thumb pressure, the rifle is tensioned just before the shot and then released to perform the discharge. The Sauer 505 features a Quattro trigger with four weight settings. Thus, the trigger breaks crystal clear at the precisely individually fitting trigger weight. Settings of 350 g, 750 g, 1,000 g, and 1,250 g are possible. The adjustment is made with the Sauer universal key while the forend is detached. The chamber handle ball is made of black anodized aluminum. Depending on the caliber, the magazine can be chosen with a capacity of 2 or 3 rounds and 5 rounds.

The Barrel
The Sauer 505 repeater rifle in the Outback configuration is equipped with a cold-hammered barrel. This allows for highly precise shots. The muzzle is equipped with an M15x1 thread for a suppressor. It has a smooth profile without sights, and its length is optionally between 42 cm and 62 cm, partly depending on the caliber. The barrel of the Sauer 505 Outback rifle is effectively protected against corrosion by a DLC coating, just like its other steel surfaces. By the way, the barrel is compatible with the Sauer 404, so it can be used with the older rifle.

The Optic
The riflescope is mounted on the Sauer 505 saddle mount. The repeater rifle is equipped with a device for this mount. Four discreet recesses at the level of the cartridge chamber hold it without tension, allowing the barrel to continue to oscillate freely. No further adjustments to the rifle are necessary. With this system, you avoid impairments from a mounting base. After the initial zeroing, you can easily dismount and remount the riflescope without affecting the accuracy. With the Sauer saddle mount, you can use various optics on the same rifle. You have the choice between the following scopes:
