The chef's blade is inspired by a classic Western knife and is suitable for all types of cutting and slicing. The blade is made from 9Cr18MoV steel, which combines corrosion resistance, toughness, and edge retention. It features our signature cutouts that save material (and weight) at the widest part of the blade without compromising performance or comfort under pressure on the spine. The cutouts also provide a slight protrusion, allowing you to open the blade with your thumb.
The handle of this knife is made from light beech wood and is sturdy and simple. The shape of the handle is designed to fit comfortably and securely in the hand, allowing for a variety of grip styles. It is curved at the balance point, allowing for a gradual transition between the handle and the blade. The closures are flush-mounted, eliminating any annoying bumps, and we have minimized the holes that tend to collect dirt. The top of the handle is closed, making it pleasant to hold and very stable. The ratio between the handle and blade allows for full utilization of the blade and provides enough clearance to prevent your finger knuckles from hitting the cutting surface.
The frame is equipped with a liner lock, which makes the blade very secure when opened. The Elite Edition Knives include a custom leather sheath with a belt loop. Designed in the USA.
