The Santoku is based on a classic Japanese utility knife. The serrated blade prevents slices from sticking to the blade, and the wide surface is ideal for scooping and moving ingredients. The Damascus blade is made from 10Cr15MoV steel, which combines beauty, corrosion resistance, and toughness while providing a very sharp edge. It features our signature cutouts that reduce weight at the widest part of the blade without compromising performance or comfort when pressure is applied to the back. Additionally, they offer a slight advantage as you can open the blade with your thumb.
This knife has a dark-stained walnut handle that is both sturdy and beautiful. The shape of the handle is designed to fit comfortably and securely in the hand, allowing for a variety of grip styles. It is curved at the balance point, allowing for a gradual transition between the handle and the blade. The closures are flush-mounted, eliminating any annoying bumps, and we have minimized the holes where dirt can accumulate. The top of the handle is closed, making it comfortable in the hand and very stable. The ratio between the handle and blade allows for full utilization of the blade while providing enough clearance to prevent your finger knuckles from hitting the cutting surface.
The frame is equipped with a liner lock that makes the blade very secure when opened. The Elite Edition Knives include a custom leather sheath with a belt loop. Designed in the USA.
