The design of the new hunting knife "rüdemann" from our IP series comes from Philipp Tassius, whose great-uncle Walter Tassius, a forester and tracking dog handler, developed the original "PUMA Rüdemann" back in 1975. The goal of the modernized development was to incorporate the current demands of wild boar hunting into the changes. Functionality was once again the priority, as the "cold weapon" must feel like an extension of the hand when dealing with the formidable wild boar. The knife must have weight, but should not be too heavy, and must possess the important qualities of stability and sharpness. The blade should also not be fully sharpened on both sides. Therefore, only the tip is ground on both sides to allow for quick penetration into the game. The blade length is 19 cm with an overall knife length of just under 33 cm. The blade, which is broadened and strong in the front third, enhances oxygen supply during the catch and allows for a quick dispatch of the animal. The new "rüdemann" will be delivered with a high-quality and precisely fitting belt sheath made of saddle leather.
