For the 250th anniversary, we have reissued this footprint seal made of brass. In the 1960s, Walter Frevert made important impressions of tracks in clay and cast them as ashtrays on behalf of PUMA. Today, the footprint seals reflect tradition and customs. The footprint seals were recast 1:1.
"For over 850 years, many customs have developed in Europe to follow the tracks of wildlife. One of them is the careful observation of impressions in soft ground or snow. As early as 1500, this art was mentioned by Emperor Maximilian, who compiled an interesting collection of characteristic wildlife tracks. To bring this noble custom closer to today's hunter, I have pressed the most important tracks in nature into clay and had them artistically processed by the sculptor Lies Ketterer." Walter Frevert, Chief Forester
The noble footprint seal is intended for various applications: ashtray, paperweight, gift, honoring the hunting king, etc.
