The “ehrensaufeder frevert” is decorative wall art in the hunting room and an indispensable traditional pole weapon at the same time – from PUMA Solingen. The practical PUMA “ehrensaufeder nach Frevert” follows the traditional custom of carrying a polished pole weapon while hunting. This successful model was developed in the mid-20th century by OFM Walter Frevert and is still highly valued today for its following characteristics: The forged tip made of hardened tool steel is sharpened and polished by hand in several stages. The octagonal shaft made of ash wood is finely sanded by hand in increasingly finer steps and then impregnated with a natural oil mixture. The wrapping made of very tough saddle leather is treated with a special leather balm and secured with hand-forged, blued nails. The accompanying saddle leather sheath for the tip is very well crafted and features a genuine boar hide applied on one side. Thus, this professional PUMA Saufeder stands not only for tradition but also for true craftsmanship.
