This oil is essential for sharpening on an Arkansas oil stone, as the stones must not be used with water or dry. Use only properly with an oil stone! A few drops on the sharpening stone are sufficient.
The oil stones are quarried in the Ouachita Mountains/Arkansas. The unique structure of Novaculite ensures that Arkansas oil stones are extremely wear-resistant with their grits and, unlike other wet grinding stones, never need to be dressed or flattened.
