GLOCK G47 MOS The GLOCK G47 combines the frame of the G45 "Crossover" model with the shorter recoil spring housing (Dust Cover) with the typical GLOCK G17 Gen5 MOS slide. The G45 model, in turn, is known to be a combination of the long G17 frame with a high magazine capacity of 17 rounds and the short G19 slide. Thus, the brand new G47 fundamentally offers the possibility to complete the frame optionally with a G17 or G19 slide. So, if you already own a G19, you can also equip your G47 with the slide of this compact pistol! The new G47 features all typical Gen 5 characteristics and the M.O.S. (Modular Optic System) slide interface for the in-house adapter plates and the mounting of numerous mini red dot sights, as well as rear and front serrations (Slide Serrations). The Gen5 models have been improved in the following features: New frame: The finger grooves used since 1998 are gone. This change contributes to a better grip feel for some users. Magazine funnel: The frame is slightly "flared" outward. Ambidextrous slide stop lever: Both models are now usable for left- and right-handed shooters alike. New sights: The Gen5 models are equipped with a significantly larger light gap between the rear sight and front sight. This results in a much better sight picture, especially under adverse lighting conditions. Modified barrel: The barrel has been revised and is now called GLOCK's Marksman Barrel (GMB) and is intended to ensure improved precision. New surfaces: According to the manufacturer, the new models have received the much more durable nDLC surface. The frames and slides of the GEN 5 GLOCK are no longer compatible with the predecessors GEN 1 or GEN 2 or GEN 3. Modular Optic System It is a special platform for mounting additional optics on the slide. With the MOS, the shooter can mount all important commercially available reflex sights. The advantages of reflex sights are faster target acquisition and higher precision at greater distances. The MOS consists of a roughly 60mm long milling on the top of the slide, where the included adapters for the various 'RedDots' are screwed in.
