The ThermTec Wild 650L is the flagship of the Wild series, consistently designed for range, detail recognition, and precise distance measurement. With its high-resolution 640 × 512 sensor and a NETD of ≤ 18 mK, it delivers a high-contrast, stable image even in challenging conditions. Especially in open terrain, at field edges, or over long distances, the 650L showcases its strengths.

Sensor, Optics, and Range
The bright 50-mm lens (F0.9) allows for an exceptional detection range of up to 2,600 m. In combination with the higher base magnification of 2.8×, details can be recognized early and addressed confidently. The continuous 1–4× digital zoom remains clear and controllable even at higher levels.

Distance Measurement with LRF Boost
The integrated laser rangefinder measures distances up to 1,000 m with an accuracy of ± 1 m. In conjunction with the AI-supported multi-target distance measurement, multiple heat sources can be detected simultaneously. This significantly facilitates the assessment of complex situations and saves time during observation.

Image Representation and Stability
The AMOLED display with 1024 × 768 pixels ensures a calm, eye-friendly representation. The self-learning AI image correction significantly extends image stability and reduces manual calibrations. Features like Heat Track, PIP, and EIS support secure target tracking even during movement.

Operation, Battery, and Practical Use
The joystick control and sensitive finger wheel allow for comfortable one-handed operation. The replaceable 18650 battery provides up to 8 hours of runtime and can be charged in the device or externally. Through Wi-Fi and the ThermTec Outdoor App, recordings can be shared, settings adjusted, or firmware updates performed.
