Heck-Pack Rear Carrier Optimal – Drop-down Version for Heavy Loads

The Heck-Pack Rear Carrier Optimal in drop-down version has been designed for situations where weight and handling are crucial. Especially when recovering larger pieces of game or transporting bulky equipment, the integrated drop-down mechanism shows its clear advantage.

The centerpiece is the pre-assembled drop-down mechanism made of stainless steel. By operating the T-handle towards the rear carrier, the carrier lowers at an angle of about 30–35°. The loading area comes significantly closer to the ground, allowing game or heavy loads to be controlled and effortlessly lifted or placed down.

After loading, a slight lift is sufficient. The rear carrier automatically locks back into a horizontal position and is immediately secured for travel. No tools, no additional safety measures, no readjustment required.

The carrier itself corresponds in construction and quality to the proven Heck-Pack Optimal. It is fully hot-dip galvanized according to DIN EN ISO 1461, thus designed for long-term corrosion protection. The frame made of square tubing (30×30×2 mm) and the 50×50×5 mm grid form a stable, well-crafted welded construction without sharp edges.

The ECE road approval allows a net payload of 89 kg. In conjunction with the drop-down mechanism, the permissible payload is 71 kg. This keeps the rear carrier fully road-legal without registration or TÜV presentation. The approval is valid throughout the EU and in many other countries.

The rear carrier fits all common tow hitches and can be mounted or dismounted in seconds using the one-hand lever quick-release system. A theft protection via padlock and two tie-down straps are already included in the delivery.
