PIXFRA Taurus T635 – compact thermal imaging attachment for forest and medium distances

The PIXFRA Taurus T635 is a thermal imaging attachment designed for hunting use in forest areas, at feeding sites, and at medium distances. Despite its compact design, it features a highly sensitive VOx sensor with 640×512 pixels, a 12 µm pitch, and a thermal sensitivity of <18 mK NETD. This ensures that game remains clearly visible even in wet weather, fog, or low temperature contrast. The 35 mm f1.0 lens allows for a detection distance of up to 1800 m, making it ideal for typical hunting distances.

The Sub-Pixel-Zeroing technology ensures a clean point of impact with an ultra-fine click value of 0.9 cm at 100 m. This facilitates precise zeroing and ensures that the point of impact remains reproducible even after dismounting and remounting. The attachment features an M52×0.75 thread and is shock-resistant up to 6000 Joules, designed for the rigors of hunting.

With a field of view of 22 m horizontally and 17.5 m vertically at 100 m, sufficient overview is maintained even in dense cover. At the same time, the Taurus T635 can be used on target optics with up to 10x magnification. The display is provided by an OLED screen with 1920×1080 pixels, which clearly separates contrasts and depicts details sharply.

The operation is tailored for practical use. A quiet 3-button layout and an ergonomic focus dial allow for secure handling for both left- and right-handed users. Additionally, the device can be controlled via a Bluetooth remote, which remains readily accessible thanks to its magnetic holder.

The image processing utilizes the PIPS 2.0 firmware. Improved zoom, effective noise reduction, and precise edge sharpening ensure a stable, detailed image. This is complemented by the AI-supported adaptive image calibration AAIC, which continuously optimizes the image. Six selectable color palettes and hotspot tracking facilitate the quick detection of heat sources.

The robust housing is dust and waterproof according to IP67 standards and is designed for temperatures ranging from -30 °C to +55 °C. A replaceable 18650 battery provides up to 6 hours of runtime, with two batteries already included in the package. For photo and video recordings, a 32 GB internal memory is available. A stable live stream can be established via Wi-Fi to a smartphone or tablet.
