Nordik Mallard Decoy for Mallards

With the Nordik duck call for mallards, you can produce all the basic sounds to attract mallards. Management: Hold the cover call between your thumb and index finger around the circumference of the sound chamber and bring the mouthpiece to your mouth as if you were drinking from the cover call. Make sure you can open and close the call with your other fingers in front of the sound chamber to achieve a more natural sound. Remember not to completely close your hand in front of the call, as this muffles the sound, and you want to "throw" the sound away when you open your hand. The quack: Close your fingers in front of the barrel and push a burst of air from your belly as if you were saying the sound "DWITT" while opening your fingers. Sequence: dwitt, dwitt, dwitt. The greeting sound: Make 4–5 quack sounds in relatively quick succession. For the first three quack sounds, pull the strings out. Move your fingers in front of the sound chamber and open and close them with each quack sound. Sequence: dwiiitt…, dwiiitt…, dwiiitt…, dwitt, dwitt. The comeback sound: Make six to eight quack sounds in a faster and louder succession. Move your fingers in front of the sound chamber and open and close them with each quack. Again, use the word "dwitt." The sound of feeding: Make a series of very fast, short bursts of air and try to say the words "Tick, tick, … tick, tick, tick" in random order and without rhythm. Here too, you can open and close your hand in front of the barrel to your advantage.
