French musket of the Empire français.
The original Charleville musket model 1777 was a flintlock weapon. It was not originally manufactured as a percussion rifle. However, many of these muskets were converted to the more modern percussion system in the following decades, particularly in the 1830s and 1840s, as this technology emerged.
This specimen is in good condition with slight signs of use and also comes with a bayonet and leather sling.
